I'm a Lecturer in Media Production at Bournemouth University. I teach on a number of undergraduate courses including Television Production and Screenwriting. My research looks at gendered working cultures in the creative media industry. I work as a consultant for Raising Films, a network set up to provide support for parents and carers in the Film and Television industry and I've worked with other women's groups within the sector including Women in Film and Television (WFTV). I have a background in screen production; before my doctoral research, I worked for a number of years as a freelancer in documentary television production and film production including working with director Annie Griffin on her award-winning film Festival (2005). I also worked for the women's film festival Birds Eye View so I'm really looking forward to getting back into the festival world and looking at the range of entries for this year's OXISFF.
