I’m a Master’s student in modern and contemporary English literature here in Oxford, but my twin passion is cinema. Since taking a film criticism module at undergrad, I’ve been hooked on dissecting, discussing, and writing about film, and am currently writing on East Asian cinema for an arts and culture start-up. I’m so excited for this year’s festival, and to celebrate short-form storytelling in a fantastic communal atmosphere.

What do I like?
An ambiguous ending – the flash of eyes in a rearview mirror, or a tornado approaching a parking lot.

What is my favourite film?
Michael Haneke’s Cache – no film better expresses what cinema is about.
